Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, Edward Munch, and other famous painters will be our inspirations for the paintings that we will create during our 7-week study.
What you will need
-

Acrylic Paints
This Liquitex Professional-grade acrylics set contains the essential primary colors for exploring color theory.
These paints are thick, rich, highly pigmented, and have a satin finish, becoming flexible when dry.
You can mix these with any acrylic paints you may have on hand, so if you already have the primaries ( red, yellow, blue, white, and black paints), you might not need this set.
-

Canvas pad
You can use a canvas pad, canvas panels, or stretched canvas for your projects. Canvas pads are great because they are economical, don’t take up much space, and are great for practice and play. You can use any size you may have on hand, or if you don’t have any materials yet, this Frederix canvas pad is a versatile and easy option.
-

Paintbrushes
You can use any synthetic paintbrushes, but these ones are nice.
-

Sta-Wet Palette
No more wasted paint! If you paint regularly, I highly recommend the Masterson Sta-Wet Palette. This will keep your water-based paints fresh for weeks. You can use it with acrylic, watercolor, gouache, and water-soluble oil paints. However, I like using a glass palette inside it instead of the sponge+paper setup that comes with it.
Nota Bene: this is not a required material, but it is a useful addition to the habitual painter’s arsenal.

Glass palette
The perfect addition to your artist painting supplies. It’s great for mixing paint and keeping it fresh, in combination with the Masterson Sta-Wet Painter's Pal (yellow lid). Best of all, it’s very easy to clean.
Nota Bene: this is not a required material, but it is a useful addition to the habitual painter’s arsenal.
