This 7-week course is centered around composition, a fundamental principle of art.
Composition refers to the way you organize the elements in your artwork to guide the viewer’s eye and create balance in your painting.
A well-composed artwork makes it more visually engaging and helps convey the story, mood, or message you want to express.
You’ll learn practical rules and strategies for arranging shapes, lines, values, color, and space so your paintings feel balanced and deliver the visual impact you intend.
Throughout the course, you will apply these principles and work at your own pace to create a painting of your choice: a still life, a landscape, a portrait, or even a surrealist-inspired/ fantasy art.
Creative freedom is encouraged; the composition rules are tools you can adapt, bend, or break once you understand them.
