Hi, I’m Laura.

I am so excited to share with you all of the artistic things that I’ve learned over the years, as a self-taught artist.

But you might say: “In this world of seemingly infinite internet information, how can one be truly self-taught?”

Being self-taught is a little bit like going out in the wilderness and foraging for food yourself, as opposed to going to the supermarket and buying everything in one place seamlessly.

You essentially arrive at the same destination but you are on a different path.

This Virtual Art Studio is one of those wild forests where you never know what exotic material you will find, but you can count on it to be all edible and highly nutritious. Metaphorrucally speaking.

The beauty of being self-taught is that you have more freedom to be more intuitive in your art journey than following the rather rigid molds of academia (not that there’s anything wrong with academia)

Now, your self-taught journey just got easier with a little guidance, in the form of monthly tutorials, inspirations, interesting quality art materials, and art tips.
